St. Kitts / Nevis
![]() The twin-island nation of St. Kitts & Nevis is located in the northern section of the Eastern Caribbean southeast of Miami, Florida. Ideal sandy beaches and warm clear waters surround historic sites [even some haunted plantations and ancient petroglyphs], invigorating music, fiery colors and food. More adventurous visitors can continue on into lush tropical forests and up cloud-fringed volcanic peaks. At the center of St. Kitts stands the impressive, cloud-topped peak of Mount Liamuiga (pronounced Lee-a-mweega), a dormant volcano covered by dense tropical forest. Some of the activities of these islands are hiking through the islands rain forests, golfing on internationally ranked golf courses, fishing, boating, snorkeling and scuba diving in reefs and unexplored wrecks. St. Kitts & Nevis celebrate with a colorful and lively Carnival every year. It's a 10 day party that officially opens on December 24th and is followed by traditional Caribbean celebrations all the way into the New Year.
