St. Croix
![]() St. Croix is one of the United States Virgin Islands, so U.S. citizens don't even need to leave the country to visit a tropical island. From the sugar mills that used to grind sugar cane to the grand houses that the rich and powerful of the 18th and 19th century used to live in there is plenty of the old Caribbean to still see. The reefs and the jewel like sea make it perfect for snorkeling and scuba diving. While visiting St. Croix you should see the rain forest and maybe put in an order for some of the wood sculptures, chairs, tables and other smaller utilitarian items carved and created from island mahogany and other locally grown wood.
