Manzanillo
![]() Manzanillo is located just 165 miles south if Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Manzanillo is made up of 2 separate bays divided by the peninsula of Santiago. On the left is the Bay of Santiago and on the right is the Bay of Manzanillo. Both bays are about 5 miles long and offer a variety of water sports activities. At the northernmost point of Santiago Bay is the La Boquita beach, a popular beach for the locals and very busy on the weekends. One of its main attractions is the mild surf [although there is no surf in the lagoon] and the small, thatched-roof "ramadas" serve excellent seafood. Some activities that are available are fishing, boogie-boarding, banana boat rides, swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, and horse back riding. You can also bargain with the vendors for hammocks, toys, jewelry, T-shirts and more.
