Ixtapa is a resort town in what is known as the "Mexican Riviera". It has many four and five star high-rise luxury hotels. Ixtapa has some modern and some colonial style malls connected by plazas and gardens so that they all seem to blend together are a collection of boutiques, bars, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Just on the other side of the street from the malls are the luxurious beachfront hotels with their restaurants and bars. They also boast two world class golf courses, tennis courts, water sports, tours, sport fishing, scuba diving, kayak tours, horseback riding and more.
