Huatulco
![]() Huatulco is located on the coast of Mexico about 180 miles south of Oaxaca, and is still rather unknown to most tourists. So if you're looking for peaceful, unspoiled places, you found it. There are 9 bays and over 30 glittering sandy beaches of which some are only accessible by boat. The translucent turquoise waters in the bays are a swimmer or fisherman's delight Tangolunda Bay is the most impressive because it has the most accommodations from the moderate hotels to all-inclusive resorts. Visitors who like to stay on the land can take in the environment, by bike or on horseback. On various ecotours you may join a mule train that winds leisurely through the foothills to the heart of the Sierra Madre, or take a tour of area coffee plantations.
