Curacao
![]() Curacao is an island in the Caribbean just 38 miles off the coast of Venezuela and is the largest of the Netherlands Antilles islands. The sun shines 80% of the time here so all of the usual water sports are easily done. For those of you who like to sightsee, jeep safaris take you along narrow tracks past great estates, mansions, caves, flocks of beautiful pink flamingos, fields of cactus and many dazzling beaches. The Queen Emma Pontoon Bridge is the world's largest floating pedestrian bridge. The bridge swings open up to 30 times a day to receive ships into St. Anna Bay so locals refer to the 700 ft. long bridge simply as "the Swinging Lady".
